League Vote: Redshirt Rule

The thought process here is to avoid having teams hoard an unreal amount of elite prospects - especially at the QB position - and not being able to just redshirt guys that should be playing immediately. Would make teams be much more judicial about who they decide to sign.

I voted "no" as well. The reality is unless you are a school with a large amount of prestige, then it seems that you can't always control who you sign.

I voted yes, mainly for realism aspect. That and realistically a player being RS shouldn't starter ready.

They do have a transfer window for 19, but not nearly as much talent leaves as there needs to be. I don't know if they tweaked that or not. Last season only one 5-star QB transferred. A lot of those players will go pro early so you don't want to red shirt them anyways. For realism I would say keep it but this would bring more parity to the league which is a good thing. I don't know which way to vote. I got to think about it a bit more.

I voted yes. There's over 100 teams so there's parity built in. So how else can you build a dynasty than to retain and raise talent to fit championship windows. I say at first we should go for realism and learn from year 1.

I voted yes for realism and the fact that there is more transferring than it appears 19 had. I've played about 15 season so far in the BETA and I have players transferring all the time to mid-tier schools because I promised playing time and ended up sitting them on the bench or red shirting them. Or I just must be really bad at the game and the AI is learning not to sign with my school...

I haven’t had time to play test it but if transfers are much more prevalent then I would be ok with allowing 5* redshirts.
